Summary: I will start with the positives of this rental…the check in was easy and the host was phenomenal. The host was great at responding to messages and wonderful at communicating. The location was also great. You feel out of town, but 15-20 minutes from so much entertainment. The house size was great for a large party. The host was gracious enough to put extra a/c units throughout the house, however they would blow cold air through the front and very hot air through the back side. I’m positive that the back should have been hooked up outside. However I feel like that’s about where the positives end. The house was dirty. The rugs were all stained so bad it was utterly disgusting, as was most of the furniture. There was fly poop in several places in the kitchen to the point where you could see large spots of it on the walls. In the kitchen it looked like something had been spilled all over the wooden blinds and also on the ceiling. The counters were sticky in several places along with stains on the floor tiles. We couldn’t get hot water in a few of the bathroom faucets. Downstairs was covered in little live centipedes/millipedes. The host did offer to come spray for them. The worst part was the blue mud dogger hornets. When we arrived we found a few dead ones in the house and ended up having to kill several more inside the house. Not sure how they got in, but my grandson ended up getting stung by one. There was also mouse poop in the smoker.
